Lamekia Davis is a nationally recognized community leader, financial wellness strategist, entrepreneur, and elected public official dedicated to building stronger people, stronger organizations, and stronger communities. Since being elected to the Rich Township High School District 227 Board of Education in 2023, she has championed educational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and opportunities that prepare students for success beyond the classroom.

With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience spanning Fortune 500 financial institutions, nonprofit leadership, and public service, Lamekia has built a career centered on creating pathways to economic mobility and generational wealth. She is the Founder and CEO of LDG Enterprises, home to the LDG Financial Wellness Institute™, where she partners with corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to deliver transformative financial wellness programs, leadership development, and workforce education.

Driven by a deep passion for serving underserved communities, Lamekia founded the Heyy Girl Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth through mentorship, financial literacy, leadership development, and life skills. Her work has positively impacted countless young people and families throughout the Chicagoland region, particularly those facing economic hardship and housing insecurity.

Beyond her nonprofit leadership, Lamekia is a visionary community developer and co-founder of WECaN, an innovative initiative transforming a former church campus into a comprehensive community resource center that will provide transitional housing, workforce development, financial education, youth programming, and essential family services.

Her commitment to servant leadership has earned numerous honors, including the Chicago Defender Women of Excellence Award, the Cook County Unsung Heroine Award, the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, and selection into the Illinois Women's Institute for Leadership (IWIL) Class of 2026.

Lamekia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting and continues to serve her community through multiple civic and nonprofit leadership roles. Whether advising executives, mentoring future leaders, or shaping public policy, she remains committed to one mission: helping individuals, families, and communities build lasting prosperity through education, opportunity, and leadership.
